I’m a jewellery maker, artist, writer, poet, designer, ESL teacher and translator.
Alison Boyd was born Alison Kirsopp in 1976 in Australia, and is a jeweller, artist, designer, poet, teacher and translator. She has been living in Italy since 2012. At the heart of her philosophy is to always learn: Learn through practice; learn through experience; learn through teaching.
Between 1995 and 2012 she learnt the majority of her craft in Australia under the tutelage and invaluable mentorship of sculptor, painter, jeweller and photographer Ken Raffe, at his private studio in Bundanoon, NSW. His multidisciplinary approach appealed to the core of Alison’s polyhedric creativity.
Occasionally working in Florence, most of Alison’s work was designed and created in her jewellery studio located in the historical centre in Santa Fiora. She now creates her pieces and divides her time between Australia and Italy.
Alison’s original works and handmade jewellery pieces reside in private collections in Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Germany, the UK, the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa.

Hi Julie Funny you should say that, as the name came about through calling the cats by their spontaneous nicknames (they probably own about 9 each, one for each of their lives). Kittybing, Dingkitty, Blingning, Fingerdish, Tettenman…Katmanikin. It evolved from there. Weird way of coming up with a business name, I know 😉
